My six week residency in Jingdezhen, China, had a profound impact on my work. I made my first wall panel there, and I have worked with this concept since then. While my previous pieces mostly used white unglazed porcelain, I now add layers to the clay with slips, oxides, glazes, decals, and gold luster. I like the depth my work gains by adding these details. I also started to apply oxides, glazes, and gold luster to my lamellae pieces.
