After Jingdezhen

My six week residency in Jingdezhen, China, had a profound impact on my work. I made my first wall panel there, and I have worked with this concept since then. While my previous pieces mostly used white unglazed porcelain, in China I started adding layers to the clay with slips, oxides, glazes, decals, and gold luster. I like the depth my work has gained by adding these details.
